i’m about to embark on the most amazing and overwhelming journey of my life. christina and i are having a kid. unbelievable. i’ve included a picture. i think it looks like me. in four weeks we will find out what it is. everyone keeps asking me what i want, a boy or a girl. can’t say i really have a preference. i think boys are probably more work when they’re young, but there’s nothing quite as scary to me as a 15 year old daughter. either way it’s going to change me forever. i’m sure of that.
more about this later.
Jon
Congratulations my friend! There's an army of babies on the way and to be honest it kinda freaks me out. Good to know there's going to be a little Klinepeter roaming the earth soon.

i had a surreal moment seeing the ultrasound photo next to your guinness photo - the guinness photo taken on our honeymoon one year ago, almost to the day. who would've thought? wow. we're in for an exciting ride, jk!

Jon,
Congratulations, old friend! I just stumbled across your blog today, and saw the great news. I am sure that you will be a great dad. Why? Because you are insightful and you understand people. Now that I'm a dad of two teenage daughters (believe it!), I can say that just being able to listen and understand is 90% of the battle.
By the way, Ash is now 15, and I'm still alive. Every day is an adventure. One year of HS down, 7 to go (combined for both girls, of course).
All the best to you!

Hi Jon, congratulations! I have a family of five out here in the southern west Chicago suburbs. I'd love to catch up with you.
Also, you may remember my red-headed cousin Mike -- he got married Memorial Day.
Happy explosion day!

congratulations to you both! if you are planning to have more than 1, then a girl sprinkled in there somewhere, but boys are definitely the way to go! minimize the emotions and drama! not saying that i have too much, aww, nevermind.
